SHISEIDO HEADQUARTERS

As Lead Designer for Shiseido's New York headquarters, I directed the concept development and execution of a comprehensive environmental graphics program that reflects the company's heritage, craftsmanship, and global brand identity. Working closely with the client, fabricators, and the interiors team, I developed design solutions that seamlessly integrated with the architectural vision while creating a refined and immersive workplace experience.

The scope encompassed key employee and visitor touchpoints throughout the headquarters, including the reception area, office core, conference rooms, break room, and elevator lobby. Inspired by traditional Japanese aesthetics and Shiseido's commitment to artistry, the environmental graphics establish a cohesive visual language that reinforces the brand throughout the built environment.

A defining feature of the project was the creation of custom artwork inspired by traditional Japanese sumi-e ink painting. I hand-painted a series of expressive brushstrokes, which were then digitized, scaled, and integrated throughout the space as architectural graphic elements. These bespoke installations create moments of movement and texture while paying homage to Shiseido's cultural roots.
