NORFOLK SOUTHERN
Norfolk Southern's relocation from Norfolk, Virginia, to Atlanta, Georgia provided an opportunity to create a workplace environment that reflects the company's legacy, innovation, and forward-thinking culture. The headquarters campus includes a conference center, network operations center, fitness facility, dining amenities, childcare center, retail spaces, and a variety of collaborative work environments designed to support employee well-being and connectivity.
As part of the Experience Design team, I contributed to the development of an integrated environmental graphics program that complemented the architectural and interior design vision. Guided by the concept of Thoughtful Movement, the design draws inspiration from the geometry of rail networks, train yard patterns, and the linear movement of cross-country rail systems. These visual cues were translated into graphic interventions, wayfinding elements, and branded experiences that enhance spatial identity and reinforce Norfolk Southern's core values.
By weaving storytelling into the built environment, the project creates a cohesive connection between architecture, interiors, and brand, resulting in a workplace experience that is both functional and meaningful.

The Servery
The Servery is the in house food and beverage area. With multiple options including Sushi, Mexican and other worldly offerings. Along with a servery there is a game room within steps. Employees can relax and hang out in both spaces during a workday.
Notch8
Norfolk Southern’s in house gym and fitness facility. The name Notch8 comes from the railway system using “notches” as a way to measure speed. Notch 7 is the highest unit of that measure, thus Notch 8 would be kicking it into high speed or a 110% percent.
Stairwell Entry
Patterns were created for the entrances to the stairwell that connects the two main buildings on Norfolk Southern’s campus. The patterns are derived from the idea of railway aerial patterns and use a gradation of NS colors from their brand standards.
Dining Murals
Two murals designed for the Dining Room represent icons from Norfolk Southern history and current-day brand. Some of the highlights include Norfolk Southern-specific train models, Georgia references (a peach and state flower), and current NS technology.
